Joining The Reiki Association
Community Membership is open to anyone initiated into Reiki!

The Reiki Association offers people who have Reiki the opportunity to be in community together and membership is open to anyone initiated into Reiki, even though the core of belief of this Association is the Usui System (Usui Shiki Ryoho) as defined by the Office of Grand Master.

Membership is an ideal way of connecting to the wider Reiki family, whether or not you intend to be a public practitioner.

Benefits of membership are plentiful:
  • A Community Website mainly for members where you can connect safely with others with Reiki, make new friends, find shares and events, join groups and forums, create a blog, and advertise in our Free Ads or Classifieds
  • The Reiki Directory - where members can offer treatments or classes. An online directory to increase public awareness of your Reiki practice.
  • Touch Magazine - a quarterly magazine for anyone interested in the world of Reiki, which goes out free of charge to members.
  • The Reiki Care Service - a team of volunteers who will send distant Reiki to members when they or their families need more help than self treatments and hands on treatments can give them.
  • Insurance discounts for TRA members offered by H & L Balen. Insurance can be obtained for treatments, premises, equipment, visits, teaching etc. Cover can include most other therapies as well as Reiki.
  • Assistance with CNHC registration for practitioners

Reiki
Reiki ('Ray-key') is Japanese for Universal Life Energy, and is also a word used to describe a system of natural healing. This tradition was founded by Dr Mikao Usui in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication. It was introduced into the Western World by one of his students, Hawayo Takata, who gave us the system of Reiki in which TRA is rooted, Usui Shiki Ryoho.
We live in a world of energy that nourishes and maintains all living things. When this energy flows uninterrupted there is balance and harmony within and around us, and we experience a sense of well being.
There are many variations of Reiki systems now-a-days, but in essence Reiki treatments can help the body emotionally or spiritually. In accordance with advertising guidelines, it is not possible to list the wide range of conditions practitioners believe can be helped by Reiki so it is always good to talk to people who have benefited from Reiki in their lives. Reiki is a tradition that is open to any belief system.
The Reiki Association aims are to:
~ Encourage people to deepen their practice of the Art of Reiki.
~ Provide information about Reiki to members of the Association and the wider community.
~ Foster the Reiki community locally, nationally and internationally.
~ Encourage members to contribute to the decision making process of the Association.
~ Encourage professional standards of Reiki practice.
