Hello Jackie,
Thanks for your reply.
I am the other way in that my Usui attunements were immediately noticeable especially heat in the hands. With karuna Reiki however, I genuinely notice nothing at all! I accept the energy is there, but that I just don't (don't need to?) sense the flow of Reiki, in that system.

There is always yet another new branch of Reiki, which in some ways I feel is a shame as it suggests that Reiki as we have received it from Dr. Usui, is deficient in some way, which I do not believe it is.

Best wishes,

Bede.

Hello Bede,
Lovely to meet you and to know that you, as a religious brother, are exploring the use of Reiki on your path. I didn't completely connect with Reiki for the first few years after initiation for one reason or another. Then I received a re-attunement and found I was much more open to the energy of Reiki. Now it has become like a trusted friend that I call on personally and in my complementary therapy practice. Such wonderful gentle support is offered by Reiki that I am sure it will benefit your contemplatitive life in very positive ways.
I'd like to learn more about Karuna Reiki. There are so many branches now that it's hard to keep up.
With warm wishes,
Jackie

Hello everybody, I have just joined TRA. I belong to an Anglican Religious Order as a brother, and am exploring the use of Reiki as a part of my contemplative path. I have the Usui Mastership and am also a Karuna Reiki Master, but have done very little with them for over ten years. I am hoping to reverse that now.

I look forward to getting to know some of you.

Blessings,

Bede.

Welcome, Rosina. You are in a lovely part of the country.
I very much enjoyed coming to Somerset recently with the Sanctuary of Reiki Retreat that TRA hosted with Phyllis Furumoto. I'm sure that there will be connections down there for you and the Association hopes to return to Somerset for an event next year. Watch this space!

Hi, new to the TRA too. I am a Reiki Master/Teacher and I live in Montrose in NE Scotland. I have been practicing Reiki for a number of years and was empowered as a master/teacher in 2010. I teach Reiki round here and in Dundee. Reiki is so wonderful and has made a major contribution to my life.

Hi Tracy,
Nice to meet you! Yes, Reiki is fabulous isn't it. I can't believe how often I use it in my daily life. It was especially helpful during a recent visit to my dentist!!!

Hi everyone!
I'm a Reiki Master Teacher - I've been a member for a few months but I'm still getting to grips with using the site!

I'm in the process of moving up to Newcastle from Lancashire and I'd love to know if anyone runs Reiki shares up in the North East?

I've just done a Reiki Drum practitioner course, it was amazing - I was thoroughly recommend it to anyone who already has Reiki level 2.

Hi All,

Maybe a thread introducing ourselves would be helpful? I'm happy to start:

I am a 50something year old living in the SE of England. Having taken 2 years away from my practice (acupuncture, reflexology, Reiki, Bach Flowers) I am just starting up again, full of renewed passion and having learned a few things along the way! I joined TRA because I believe a professional association has loads of benefits for all concerned and TRA seems like a tight knit community.

I use Reiki all the time in my personal life and am really looking forward to bringing it back into my working life.

I also look forward to getting to know other members.

Much love,

Jackie
