Re-thinking Healthcare

The drive that many Reiki practitioners have in wanting reiki to be available in healthcare brought out a personal quest for me. As a Reiki Master with a long and diverse professional background in regular Healthcare I asked myself what it means to bring the full potential of reiki into the Healthcare system that we have in the Western world. How can we keep the integrity of our simple practice and bring the value of all the aspects: being a healing practice, a path for personal development, a spiritual practice and a mystic order into this field? It set me off on an exciting and unexpected path that started with a big international seminar in June 2018 led by the Dutch Bert Hellinger Institute on Re-thinking Healthcare, Transformative impulses in Health and Healthcare. I received encouragement from Phyllis Furumoto to attend and then write a report, which was read and used by many. This resulted in four workshops in the Dutch community where we have been exploring deeply together. Now we are in the middle of the Covid-19 crisis, which shows us a lot about health and healthcare, and raises many questions.

What does transformation in healthcare mean? What might be the direction for that? Can we as Reiki Practitioners be a resource for transformation and if so, who do we need to become to be that and how can we support each other in this?

In this webinar I will share about the work we have done in the Dutch community. I invite and welcome you to explore a little together and we will connect to the situation we are in at this moment, in the worldwide pandemic.
