Healing Your Family Tree with Reiki

Dear Ones,

We have been working on finding the best format for sending you information about Healing Your Family Tree With Reiki (HFT). Since I’m still in the process of creating formal publicity, there is nothing ‘standard’ to attach. In some ways this is perfect, as it has allowed me to write to you personally about this Seminar, as a follow up from the Buckland Hall Retreat. Many of you have heard about it from other people who have attended HFT in the past… in different parts of the world. That world connection is also a part of what catalyzed me to begin my project of World Healing; using little blue world marbles as a focus for sending Reiki. (These can be ordered from The Reiki Association online shop.) 

I became aware some time ago that our world is made up of our ‘relatives’; our family lines intersect across lands and oceans. One of the basic premises of HFT is that when we heal our family lines we live better lives. This isn’t just for ‘us’ individually; it is also important in the world today. Our personal work may be a simple drop in the ocean of need, but when enough of us have placed our ‘drop’ in the ocean, changes happen. We see this not only in our families but also in our politics across the world, and in the interactions between people and countries. For generations, we have continued to remain emotionally ‘at war’ in spite of peace treaties and ‘high ideals’ for creating peace. As always with Reiki we begin with ourselves, then with our families and then our communities; as we practice in this way we address the world as well. All 3 of these levels are touched by the work we do with HFT.

This is a Reiki seminar working with the family, and our relationships, along with looking at the unfinished business we have from our Ancestors. This has been an amazing experience for me over the years; I’ve witnessed that even small things that pass down to us can enhance or destroy our relationships, and slow down our progress through life. Of course, everything we do for ourselves has an effect on the rest of the family. I’ve seen many unusual, and unexpected healings. I think one of the surprising things about HFT is that these things are permanent when they happen. 

Recently someone asked me why she should do the HFT since it would also ‘benefit’ even those that have caused harm in the family, not just those that were harmed. My answer is that we are all part of the family, and what we don’t reconcile gets passed on to future generations whether we like the idea or not. Family patterns of every type affect our daily lives, and some pay havoc on our relationships. So allowing more peace in our relationships is a good reason to do it. What we can know is that the permanent changes we experience will also affect our next 7 generations. (It is good to remember we also have 7 generations behind us). 

The HFT does not bypass our lifetime issues; our life’s work is our life’s work. Instead, HFT clears the air of things that did not directly come from us but still can be worked on by us. Through the process of HFT we have, or will have, the knowledge of how to do that, pragmatically using our Reiki daily tools for this very deep work.

“Every human being carries the inheritance of past generations. Not only physical characteristics, but also feelings, illnesses, life's events, and spiritual and social convictions, reside in our cells. In every generation there may be something unfinished or unknown that can continue into future generations until someone realizes that deep healing work is needed. 

In this process, healing or moving into wholeness for ourselves, our families and our world does not mean eliminating wounds or memories, but discovering what the contexts are, and understanding the inherent gifts. The family patterns can be reconciled as part of our human experience, relieving guilt, blame, and pain, and bringing forgiveness both for ourselves and for others.

“The distant treatments of the Reiki second degree are the sacred tool of this program. Time and space are bridged and healing takes place far into the past. Wondrous dreams, sudden remembering, conversations never thought likely with family members, or a clear change in attitude towards life, are all possible results. Who can do the Seminar? Anyone who has at least Second Degree. 

How does it work? We will meet the weekends of 21-23 September (to begin) and 2-4 November (to complete) starting on Friday afternoon about 4:00 PM for 3 hours. Additionally on Saturday and Sunday, we will talk together, learn about the steps we need to take, exchange hands-on Reiki treatments and become ready for the following six weeks of supervised distance Reiki treatments with a partner from the group before the final weekend. Each day during the six weeks, participants will both send and receive 3 short treatments (15-20 minutes each) at a distance, do a little journaling on the computer or by hand, and will do a daily self-treatment. 

Price: £695 (GBP) payable by a £200 (GBP) deposit, and half of the remaining balance at the beginning of each weekend of the Seminar.
