The Event: A DAY WITH KRISTIN BONNEY

We are delighted to announce that Kristin Bonney will be facilitating a workshop on Exploring the 9 Elements of Usui Shiki Ryoho. In our day together we will go deeply into our own relationship with some of these Elements so that they become not simply a list on a board, but a living experience for us as students of the practice.

Kristin Bonney was first introduced to Reiki in 1986 by her master, Marta Getty, who came to visit her at her home in Wales. Initiated as a master in 1989, she has had an active involvement in the UK and International Reiki communities alongside her teaching practice. She has deepened her understanding and practice of the Usui Shiki Ryoho system of Reiki she learned through Marta and has participated in many events with the Lineage Bearer, Phyllis Furumoto and Head of the Discipline, Paul Mitchell. Interactions with students from many different Reiki systems has both broadened her understanding and renewed her commitment to her lineage and the method that has served her so well over the years.
When Phyllis Furumoto and Paul Mitchell, in the early 1990’s, began to offer teaching opportunities based on their definition of the System of Reiki they had inherited from Hawayo Takata, it came as a relief to the Master community. That time marked the beginning of a great deal of confusion, as new models and differing understandings of Reiki sprang up all over the world. Together with the “wheel” of the Four Aspects – Healing Technique, Personal Development, Spiritual Discipline and Mystic Order – the Nine Elements gave shape to their teacher’s transmission. And for us today, they are an aid in understanding similarities and differences between this System and others.
In our day together we will go more deeply into our own relationship with some of these Elements, so that they become not simply a list on a board, but a living experience for us as students of the practice.

Cost: £55 per person for the day
